The Scottish SPCA is seeking fundraising volunteers in Angus, Fife and Tayside to support their Scottish Animal Week, which runs from September 6-12.
The charity will use the cash to support the hundreds of abused, abandoned and injured animals in their care.
Angus, Fife and Tayside Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre Manager Sharon Comrie said, ““As an animal welfare charity we receive no government or lottery funding which means we rely entirely on the generosity of the public to continue or vital work.
“During Scottish Animal Week we have opportunities to fundraise across the country. Even if someone can only spare an hour or two to shake a collection tin, their help would be greatly appreciated by us and all of the animals in our care.”
The charity is also appealing to local supporters to donate pet food to help feed the thousands of animals in its care.
Food can be donated at the Angus Fife and Tayside Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, Petterden, Dundee, or at selected supermarkets and pet stores locally.
If you would like to help fundraise or for more information on pet food donation collection points please contact Sharon Meiklejohn on 03000 999 999 or email fundraising@scottishspca.org.
